Hello,

As part of CIS’ role to be a careful steward of University resources, we are reaching out in reference to your Brown Dropbox account. In the coming weeks, we plan to remove your account from the Brown Dropbox Team. The University has hit our license limit and would like to reclaim licenses from inactive accounts.

Our management console identifies your account as one that has not been used in some time, and also has no data being stored in it. There is no indication that other Dropbox users are sharing files with you.

If you need to retain your account in the Brown Team, please reply to this email, or contact help@brown.edu by March 5th. If we do not hear from you by then, we’ll assume you no longer need it and will remove your account from Brown’s pool. Account deletion will generate an email from no-reply@dropbox.com to let you know that the event has happened.

Accounts that have been deleted can be recovered for 30 days, so you do not need to worry if you received this notice in error.

If you have any questions, please contact the CIS IT Service Center at your earliest convenience (help@brown.edu or 863-4357). We are also posting this notice in the Phish Bowl section (brown.edu/go/phishbowl) of the CIS website, so that you can confirm its authenticity.

Thank you,
CIS Software Services
