European Society of Medicine requests

Phish Bowl Alerts

Researchers, before responding to requests for manuscripts or reviews, do a little digging to learn more about the periodical to which you'll be lending your time and name. Start with the University Library journal database (to see if you find it there) for an overview and link to more details.

In a similar vein, read Check out online journals before submitting your manuscript.

If of no interest, or the request is clearly misdirected, mark the email as spam to alert Google.

Subject: Sensing and processing whisker deflections in rodents article

Dear Dr. Carberry,

I hope this email reaches you in good health. When you have some time I’m hoping we can discuss your neurophysiology work as I think your input could be valuable for a project we’re working on.

I am helping to plan a special theme issue on neurophysiology to be published early next year in the official journal of the European Society of Medicine. The issue will highlight recent developments in neurophysiology and feature a variety of types of articles. Your paper from a while ago “Sensing and processing whisker deflections in rodents” was of particular interest to me and I thought perhaps you might consider preparing a new article to be part of the theme issue. I would be interested to learn about any further research you have done in this area.

A brief overview of the issue may be found here: Challenges and Opportunities in Neurophysiology

Might you be interested in this?

Best Regards,

Subject: Trauma in Pregnancy: A Clinical Update for Obstetrician-Gynecologists article
To: Josiah Carberry <josiah_carberry@brown.edu>

Dear Dr. Carberry,

I wanted to get in contact with you regarding your Emergency Medicine work. Recently I quite enjoyed your article "Trauma in Pregnancy: A Clinical Update for Obstetrician-Gynecologists" and was wondering if you have continued any research in this field. This year I am editing a special theme issue titled Challenges and Opportunities in Emergency Medicine which will be published in the official journal of the European Society of Medicine. The aim of this special issue is to showcase the latest advances and challenges in Emergency Medicine, from basic science to clinical practice.

Your work and insight in this area would be very valuable for this special issue and I hope you would be willing to discuss the idea of preparing an article to be included in the issue.

An overview of the theme issue is available here: Challenges and Opportunities in Emergency Medicine.

Are you open to this possibility?

Best Regards,
