COVID-19 Support Coordinator
Provost's Office
- Who is Brenna Cage? A quick check of the directory draws a blank.
- Why is someone from the Provost's Office using a Gmail account? And why "sparks"?
- Typo in SUBJECT (should be "ASSISTANT" and not "ASISSTANT").
- Blank TO field.
- What does the Department of Biology have to do with COVID019 Support?
- Seems a little later to ask for work in the winter.
- Numerous formatting errors, including irregularities in spacing and capitalization.
- Red Flags: asking you to provide personal information and to text it (and give them your phone number).
- In this case, we removed the phone number, but note that it wasn't a Brown business exchange (863), nor even a 401 number.
- The signature did not provide any useful contact information, such as a legitimate phone number or address, though it would be easy to grab these details from Brown's website and create a reasonable facsimile.
- It's very similar to numerous other offers of student employment found here in the Phish Bowl.
