The Center for Computation and Visualization (CCV) supports researchers at Brown with both computing resources, such as hardware and software, and scientific computing support by Ph.D. level application scientists experienced in faculty research support as well as trained in the specifics of CCV’s High Performance Computing system, Oscar.
Computing resources consist of a high performance, tightly integrated cluster of computer nodes, file servers, scientific software, and high speed networks. Visualization resources consist primarily of room-based virtual reality systems such as the CAVE and YURT, personal VR devices such as the Rift and Vive, and of trained staff to program software for these systems.
