Piano Scam: 2014 Yamaha To A Loving Home

Phish Bowl Alerts

This email includes some of the familiar phishing "tells": sent from a random Gmail address that doesn't match the name, inappropriate capitalization, missed punctuation, and incorrect box number in the signature. It's also sounds like the Grand Piano Scam described in an earlier Phish Bowl post.

Dear Student/Staff/Faculty,

One of our staff, Mr. Eric Thompson is downsizing and looking to give
away his late dad's piano to a loving home. The Piano is a 2014 Yamaha
Baby Grand size used like new. You can write to him to indicate your
interest on his private email (ericthompson2298@outlook.com) to
arrange an inspection and delivery with a moving company. Please write
Mr. Eric Thompson via your private email for a swift response.

Kindest Regards,

Stéphanie Larrieux
