As the Assistant CIO, Enterprise Applications, Steve leads the strategy and teams at Brown supporting student, student advising, student support, human resources, finance and planning, and student financial services systems as well as many departmental systems in the pre-college,  public safety, dining, facilities, and research areas, among others. Steve’s teams also support key web and data services used university-wide including various web applications and web sites, data analytics and business intelligence systems, and data integration systems.

Prior to Brown, Steve served  at Northeastern University for eighteen years, the most recent six years as the Associate VP of Enterprise Platforms at Northeastern. He has also held technical leadership positions at the IT research firm Gartner, and commercial software firms Commercialware and Deploy Solutions. Steve holds a bachelor's degree from Bryant University and a Graduate Certificate in Cloud Computing from Northeastern University.
