Do you have a router at home? Most of us do.

    Why Data Privacy Day?

Privacy is important year-round, but this event is observed internationally each year on January 28th to promote awareness about the many ways personal information is collected, stored, used, and shared.

It is also a good reminder at the beginning of each new year to learn more about privacy and how to protect your data as well as that of others. The Information Security Group (ISG) has prepared a page of videos, online events (January 25th and 26th) and other resources to assist you.

Starting today, students, staff, and Brown-paid faculty can send encrypted email to any address using Virtru. When sending encrypted email, you can also prevent a forwarded email from being read, set a read expiration, and revoke the ability to read an email after it is sent. Email recipients do not need to install Virtru to read or respond to your email.
