Impersonator emails, from a familiar name but a phony email address, are being reported with growing frequency, with subject lines of "Quick recovery", "Urgent request", "Urgent hi [your name]", and now "CHECK FAST!!!". Following is an example of the latter.
If you receive a similar email, do not reply. Instead, forward a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org and then mark it as phishing. You can do this by clicking on the stack of three dots to the right of the REPLY button and select "Report phishing" from within the message. This will alert Google of this phishing email.
Would it be possible for you to complete a task for me before this conference ends ?
